Using Grill Mate is simple. Simple add items using the touch interface, and press the start button when you've got everything in your list. The alarm will sound, and any items that you need to place on the grill will turn orange in the list. Once these items are on the grill, tap each item to clear its state. When an item needs to be flipped, an alarm will sound and an item needing to be flipped will turn red in the list, and when your items are done, they'll all turn green. To check the remaining time at any point, just look at any item that's been thrown on the grill, all items will tick down with their respective times, and once all of them are on the grill, they'll all show the same time remaining because they're all going to finish at the same time. A simple tap of any item that is not in need of being flipped or placed on the grill will reveal a simple set of cooking instructions.
*Unfortunately Apple has seen it fit to disable applications running in the background. Grill Mate will keep running unless you manually terminate it using the home button, but as soon as Apple allows simple background applications, you can bet that grill mate will be taking advantage of all the newest features. You can put your phone to sleep and Grill Mate will continue to run, I've done this for as many as ten minutes, but I do not know if there is an upper limit, and Grill Mate will not allow the phone to self-sleep. Please e-mail any suggestions you may have or requests for features, I always like to hear from the community.
